Who we're looking for

Toyota's Powertrain Planning & Research Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Powertrain Principal Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop powertrain research and benchmarking in support of Toyota's powertrain strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Program Manager, the person in this role will support the Powertrain Planning & Research department's objective to Develop North American powertrain(gas/electric) strategy.

What you'll be doing

+ Lead competitor powertrain strategies towards 2030

+ Ensure powertrain technology forecast

+ Complete competitor powertrain technical benchmarking

+ Develop competitor powertrain cost planning benchmarking

+ Understanding and flexibility to work with dynamic projects

What you bring

+ Bachelor's of Science (or higher) in Engineering

+ Automotive industry experience

+ Knowledge and understanding of Powertrain

+ Willingness to travel nationally

+ Comprehension of cost planning

+ Experience with Benchmarking

What you may bring

+ Current experience with presentations to senior executives

+ Capability to distill big data into clear and concise messages

+ Experience within and outside of powertrain related fields for development or strategy

+ Toyota experience
